Condition
The canvas has been relined. There is craquelure throughout the work, particularly in the darker pigmented areas around the figures. Under UV light inspection there appear to be multiple large areas that have been inpainted. There are most likely more than 2 different restoration attempts—one focusing on the areas along the right and left edges as well as the upper corners, and another mostly around the bodies of the figures.
