Condition
(This condition report has been provided courtesy of Wilson Conservation)
The sculpture is in very good condition. It displays a dark brown semi-opaque patina with slightly lighter passages on the back of the form. The surface has a slight texture to it, which suggests it has been exposed to outdoor conditions at one point. A tiny pinhole was observed on the top horizontal form, which is inherent in the cast and occurred during casting. A shallow 1/2" long horizontal scratch was noted on the round end on the proper left backside of the artwork. A faint 2" long horizontal scratch was found on the proper right back surface towards the end of the form. The artist's signature and edition number was seen on the proper left side of the form on the face of the circular form. The sculpture appears clean and exhibits a fresh protective wax coating. No significant scratches or abrasions to the patina were observed.
