Description
Each designed as a frog, one set with rose-cut diamonds with circular-cut emerald eyes, mid 19th century, later brooch fitting, one diamond deficient; the other set with circular-cut emeralds, and similarly-cut ruby eyes, highlighted with single- and rose-cut diamonds, one emerald deficient, early 20th century.
Condition
Mid 19th Century frog brooch: Mounted in silver and gold. Diamonds bright. Emerald eyes well matched in colour, abraded facets, slightly chipped. Later brooch fitting.
Early 20th Century frog brooch: Emeralds of various tones of slightly yellowish green, several with nicks and chips, one small stone deficient. Diamonds bright and lively. In good condition.
