SAPPHIRE SAUTOIR, CIRCA 1900 AND A DIAMOND BROOCH, MID 19TH CENTURY

Description

Comprising: a twisted rope of seed pearls to terminals set with faceted sapphires, dogs tooth pearls and culminating in a tassel, length approximately 1240mm, together with a brooch of open work design set with circular- and rose-cut diamonds, composite.

Condition

Sautoir: Seed pearls with a cream bodycolour. Some tassels deficient. Sapphires a light greyish blue with low saturation of colour, varying tones, abraded facet junctions. Brooch: Mounted in silver and gold. Diamonds bright and lively. Later pin, changed into a brooch, probably made up from three diamond set buttons. In good condition.
