Description
The carved nephrite base centring on a circular dial applied with a mosaic of kingfisher feathers, the hands highlighted with rose-cut diamonds, the chapter ring with Roman numerals decorated wiih black and cream enamel and accented with cabochon rubies, measurements approximately 80mm x 68mm x 8mm, signed Cartier Paris, Londres, New York and numbered, folding stand, fitted red Morocco case Cartier Paris.
Provenance
By family tradition this clock was originally a gift to The Duke of Kent from Laura Mae Corrigan, it was later returned by the Duke's wife Princess Marina following his death in 1942 and was passed back to the Corrigan family and later gifted to the present owner.

Fully wound, will run, needs a professional service. Chapter ring probably gold, indistinct assay mark to one edge probably French. Stand and clock case probably brass. Numbered 1448., 0530 and 0871. Face possibly plastic not glass. Kingfisher feather dial with some losses, but feathers are probably in casing. Could benefit from some professional careful restoration. Right foot of nephrite base chipped. Red Morocco case numbered 2627, made in France, silk lining damaged, stand to reverse deficient.
