Description
Each earring suspending a pear-shaped opal swing set within a border of calibré-cut rubies, to a line millegrain-set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, later post and butterfly fittings, case WM Bruford & Son Ltd; together with a ring set to the front with five cabochon opals accented with diamond points, size M¾, case WM Bruford & Son Ltd.
Condition
Earrings: Probably platinum and gold. Opal with white background and displaying typical play-of-colour. Rubies, strong purplish red, medium tone. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.40-1.50 carats, estimated colour J, estimated clarity I. Well articulated. Length approximately 48mm.
Ring:Opals with white background and displaying typical play-of-colour. Light scratches to stones and band consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
