Condition
The work is in fairly good condition. The surface is dirty and there are a number of fine cracks in the sky. The work has a yellow varnish and the canvas is unlined. Under UV, there are several areas of the sky which appear to have strokes of strengthening. One is a 3 x 3 inch in upper left corner. Another is 4 x 2 inch and is 6 inches above the red roof at center and the other is upper right corner. There is a line of repair along all four edges. Several one inch lines of inpainting are scattered in the central sky. These old repairs are somewhat broadly done and could be improved by further attention from a restorer.
