Description

  • A YELLOW GOLD RECTANGULAR WRISTWATCH 1943 REF 1442J MVT 836109 CASE 631674
  • length 36 mm
• cal. 9-90 octagonal nickel lever movement stamped twice with the seal of Geneva, 18 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions • silvered dial, applied yellow gold Breguet numerals, engine-turned subsidiary seconds • 18k yellow gold rectangular case, snap back • case, dial and movement signed

Condition

The movement is running, however we recommend service soon. The movement plates show some loss of nickel plating toward the edges, however overall it is nice. The dial shows spotting and discoloration throughout with some light crazing throughout. The 5 appears to have lost some of the tail of the numeral and the hands do not appear to be original. The case appears to be generally polished throughout with scuffs from wear. There appear to be some light dents to the outside of the back. Overall, though, the watch is nice looking and a good buy at this level. The strap of this watch contains endangered species; please refer to Important Notices for further information.
