Catalogue Note

This clock was used as a prop in the 1980s German detective television series, Stahlkammer Zürich. The show followed the adventures of investigators who traveled around the globe looking for the owners of abandoned safety deposit boxes from a Swiss bank.

It is believed that one episode involved this clock and espionage between East and West Germany. During the production, the plaque reading Fabergé on the movement was added and the repeat button might have been replaced for visual and story reasons.
