Single panel is uncradled and slightly bowed, but appears to be stable. On the verso, a strip of wood has been inset into the panel, most likely to stabilize a crack that runs from approximately 7 in. across part of the bowl of fruit in the center of the panel. Some discolored retouches are visible to the naked eye along this crack. In addition, there are some tiny discolored retouches here and there, but these are not disturbing. U.V. reveals a few scattered retouches along the edges and a few more at left edge. Painting under a thick, milky varnish which may render other retouches difficult to see under U.V.
