The gold mesh evening bag interior fitted with a mirror, two compartments, comb, lipstick case and lighter, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, N.Y., Made in France, numbered NY 27086; the gold mesh compact interior fitted with a mirror, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered NY 26278; gross weight for evening bag and compact approximately 445 dwts.
Condition
The evening bag weighs approximately 379 dwts. Some small areas of denting and discoloration to the texturing of the gold, but in good condition. To open the bag, press down on the rope-twist chaining that runs along the top of the bag. Diamonds are of decorative quality. The compact weighs approximately 66 dwts and is set with 49 square-cut sapphires and 10 round and single-cut diamonds of decorative quality. Some denting and discoloration to the woven gold, but in good condition overall.
