Description

Old European-cut and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 8.10 carats, one diamond missing.

Condition

One small diamond is missing from the retractable pendant bail--not visible in the catalogue illustration. In otherwise good condition with surface wear to the mounting, minor areas of gold solder to the reverse, and a later-added pin backing. A small gold "brake" to prevent the pendant bail from overfolding into the back of the brooch, added as well is a secondary pendant loop to allow for the pendant to be worn horizontally. Set in the center with an old European-cut diamond, approximately 1.10 carats, I-J color, SI clarity. Further set with 135 old European-cut and single-cut diamonds, approximately 7.00 carats, H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Together with a platinum curb-link chain, length 24 inches.
