- Boucheron
Comprising a vanity case, a compact and a mirror, each decorated with openwork designs of birds, flowers and leaves studded with round faceted or cabochon rubies, the rectangular vanity case opening to reveal two covered compartments, two lipstick cases, a comb and concealed mirror, 51/8 by 33/8 inches, signed Boucheron, Paris, Bt. no. 875012; the square compact containing a covered powder compartment and mirror, 3 by 3 inches, signed Boucheron, Paris, Bt. no. 875012 and 82.964; the hinged mirror contained within a circular case decorated on both sides, 4 inches diameter, signed Boucheron, Paris, Bt. no. 82063 and 61.806, all with French assay marks.
Condition
All three boxes are heavily tarnished.
Vanity case stamped throughout with maker's marks and French marks for gold. With damage to edges of mirror, remnants of make-up and lipstick, yellow discolouration and spotting to inner cases. Comb and powder puff within. Minor scratches consistent with age and wear. In overall good condition.
Compact stamped with maker's marks and French marks for gold. Remnants of make-up within. Minor scratches consistent with age and wear. In overall good condition.
Mirror stamped with OR AGENT and maker's marks. Discolouration spotting to inside of case. Damage to surround of mirror. Minor scratches consistent with age and wear. In overall good condition.
