The carved wood tapering band of bombé form inset with an oval sapphire in a gold collet, further decorated with trios of gold beads, mounted in 18 karat gold, size 6¾, signed René Boivin, maker's mark, assay mark.
Condition
Sapphire measures approx. 11.0 by 8.5 mm., cannot measure depth due to closed back mounting. It is medium deep blue and is slightly included. Maker's mark is partly rubbed. With French assay mark. Signed Rene Boivin on inside of upper shank. Some scratching to the gold, but in good condition overall.
