Description

The slightly tapering, articulated band set with 36 rectangular-shaped sapphires, bordered on either side with a total of 144 old-mine and old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 5.70 carats, mounted in platinum, length 6½ inches. 

Condition

Sapphires well matched in colour, ranging from slightly grayish-blue to blue, medium dark tone, slightly grayish saturation of colour. Lightly included with the occasionally moderately included stone, some stones with evidence of colour banding and minor abrasions to surface facets consistent with age and wear. One link is broken and needs repair. Estimated colour of diamonds approximately H-K, estimated clarity SI-I with occasional VS. Safety catch to side of clasp. In overall good condition. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE LINK HAS BECOME DETACHED AND WILL BE REPAIRED BY SOTHEBY'S FOR THE PURCHASER.
