Condition
In overall good condition Gilding sprayed in areas to the gilding. Minor marks chips and rubbing to the gilding and patinated bronze. Minor marks and old repaired chips to the marble in places. Pierced for electricity. In otherwise good condition.

Catalogue Note
Claude Galle delivered two pairs of candelabra of this model with minor differences to the socles, to the Petit Trianon, Versaille on 23 December 1809 for the chambre à coucher and the boudoir (see Denise Ledoux-Lebard, Versailles, Le Peitit Trianon, Paris 1989, pp. 101, 105 and 232). Rabiat is recordered in the Almanach du Commerce as a bronze founder living 41 rue Beaubourg, Paris.
