Catalogue Note

François-Guillaume Tiron, frère aîné du plus connu Jean-Marie (Tiron de Nanteuil), devint maître en 1747. Il s'installa à l'enseigne de la Pomme d'or, rue Saint-Louis, et y reste apparemment jusqu'à sa retraite en 1775. La vente de ses biens en décembre de la même année fait liste d'une grande variété d'objets de vitrine dont des «flacons de cristal et bonbonnières le tout garni d'or émaillé et autrement » (Henri Nocq, Le poinçon de Paris, Paris, 1926-1931, vol. iv, p. 55).
