upright rectangular form, panelled in banded grey agate within scroll-chased gold mounts, later rose gold rims and hinges, the interior complete with fittings including ivory slips and gold-mounted agate knife

Condition
As described above, the rims and hinge have been replaced (replacement excellent quality but pins not properly inserted) also a small patch to the right of the rose diamond puchpiece (visible on photo). The interior contains: two gold-capped glass bottles with stoppers (one cap a little crushed at back); pierced ivory memorandum slip (originally two slips and this one slightly damaged at top); bodkin; tweezers; spoon; very nice gold-mounted grey agate folding knife; and pencil holder.
