- comprising: a circular boite à miniature, French, circa 1785, of tortoiseshell-lined lacquer with silver piqué and painted gold decoration, the lid inset with a later miniature of a mother and child in the manner of Greuze; an English enamel bonbonnière/ scent bottle, Staffordshire, circa 1760, painted with flowers on a white ground; and a German silver-mounted lacquer box painted with Adam and Eve, Brunswick, circa 1820

comprenant : une boîte à miniature ronde, France, vers 1785, laquée et piquée d'argent et peinte d'ornements dorés, la doublure en écaille, le couvercle incrusté d'une miniature tardive d'une mère et son enfant à la manière de Greuze ; une bonbonnière / flacon de parfums anglaise en émail, Staffordshire, vers 1760, peinte de fleurs sur un fond blanc ; et une boîte allemande en laque et à montures d'argent peinte d'Adam et Eve, Brunswick, vers 1820
Condition
First: some surface losses; separation cracks at side; the miniature seems to have fused with the glass at lower right. Second: the stopper is a later replacement, otherwise in good order. Third: rim mounts lacking; surface losses as visible in the catalogue photo.
