Description
Comprising an armchair and six side chairs, together with a later armchair. 8 pieces. One armchair stamped IF twice to the underside of the back rail, two side chairs stamped 1912 / 32 to the underside of the back rail; seven chairs stamped I, I(3),III, III, V, VI, VI(7) repectively to the back rail. Additions to feet, variations to carving.

Condition
Overall fair restored condition; the first armchair stamped III with to chips to the tip of the carving of the center of the cresting rail; old plugged repaired breaks to the tops of each stile at join with the cresting rail; the pierced splat with numerous old repaired breaks and now with battens to the back and with inpainting and stain; bottom each armrest support with age cracks at join with the side seat rail; age cracks to the tops of the front legs; old repaired break to the right side seat rail; old glue to the H stretcher.
Side chair VI with a horizontal age crack to the cresting rail at join with the splat; plug to the front right leg at join with the front seat rail; additions to feet.
Side chair II with an partial paper label stamped G.E.R., front right leg with a small age crack at join with front seat rail; additions to feet.
Side chair VI (7) with an old repaired break to the cresting rail at join with right stile; the pierced splat possible replaced; small; age cracks to the tops of the front legs; additions to feet. The legs carved differently from the first chairs. Stamped 1912 / 32 to the underside of the back rail.
Side chair III with a different cresting rail from the other chairs; old repaired breaks to the top of the front legs; plug to the top of the front right leg.
Side chair V in fair restored condition with additions to feet and with some old marks, scratches scuffs and bruises.
Side chair I (3) old repaired breaks to the pierced splat with slight separation to the right flower-head; front seat rail with an old repaired break to the front right corner; age cracks to the tops of the legs; additions to legs; old repaired break to the front right leg with a plug to the top; please note the legs are carved differently from the majority of the other chairs; additions to feet. Stamped 1912 to the underside of the back rail.
The style armchair in good condition and with a small plug to the left seat rail adjacent to the join with the armrest support.
Overall with old marks, scratches, nicks, scuffs and bruises consistent with age and use.
