Description

  • 73 cm; 139.7 cm; 90.8 cm; 66 cm
the central section to the top sliding to reveal a re-lined backgammon well, the reverse of the top centered by an inlaid chess board, each side of the frieze centered by a dummy drawer and flanked by a dummy drawer to the left and a small drawer to the right.

Condition

Overall fair condition; the central section of the top with rippling and warpage to the veneers of both sides; the reverse with age cracks through the checkerboard; areas of sunfading and bleaching with subsequent perishing to the finish; small losses and replacements to the cross-banded veneers or the edge; chips and losses to the gilding; overall with some old marks, scratches, nicks, scuffs and bruises.
