the central frieze drawer flanked to the left side by a frieze drawer and a deep drawer and on the right side by a cellaret drawer; the left side panel fitted with small cupboard door.  The back with a white ivorine label G. JETLEY / 24 BRUTON ST, BERKELEY SQ. W.1.

Condition

Overall good restored condition; the top is mahogany veneered onto mahogany with beautiful figuring; nicely carved and well constructed; the top with two patches to the back edge at the left side approximately 3 inches by 1/4 inch and 2 inches by 1/4 inch; minor rippling to top; thin age crack to right side approximately 15 inches in length; left side edge of top with small square patches to the veneers with some small chips and infilling in places; to large veneer patches to the front left corner edge of the top; very minor thin horizontal age crack to left side panel; patches to top and bottom right corners of commode door; two very thin minor horizontal age cracks to the left side panel; left frieze drawer with a small loss to the cock-beaded molding of the lower left corner; the deep drawer with a small replaced section to the cock-beading of the lower left corner; three small patches to veneer beneath drawer; the central frieze drawer with a small patch to veneer above left handle; small chip to cock-beading of top right corner; some small patches to the veneer beneath the drawer; the cellaret drawer with small replacements to the cock-beading at the top left corner and the bottom left and right corners; small chip to the cock-beading of the top right corner; very small replacement to cock-beading top bottom left corner of dummy frieze drawer; three small patches to the veneer beneath the drawer; drawer runners supporting the central frieze drawer replaced; the left fan-carved spandrel with a replaced bottom tip and a repaired broken upper tip; the right fan-carved spandrel with two replaced tips; small chip to carving to one leaf petal of front left corner carving; the front right legs with old repaired break at join with the carcass; front right leg with chips and small age cracks to inside edge at join with carcass; back left leg with repaired large chip to foot; overall with old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises; handles replaced.
