Description

within parcel-gilt ebonized verre églomisé frames.
Condition
Overall good condition; the first with a tear to the top left corner approximately 1 ½ in. in length and with a small tear approx.3/4in. in length with separation; the left side with a crease approx. 4 ¾ in. in length; small fold and rease to the upper right corner approx. 1 in lengh
The second with some minor foxing and with very small losses around the top edge and bottom right corner and with a tear and small loss to the center of the bottom edge
The third with minor foxing and with a loss to the center of the top edge approx. ½ in. by 1/8 in. and with small losses to the top right corner
The fourth with very minor fixing; very small loss to the center of the top edge and with a small loss appro. 1/4 in. by 1/8 in. to the center of the bottom edge; minor discoloration to the background
The fifth with an old repaired tear to the top of the pith paper running the width of the paper with old restoration and inpainting; the upper right corner with subsequent losses; small tears to the center of bottom edge with inpainting; small losses to the bottom right and bottom left corner with inpainting
The sixth with a long diagonal tear running from the top right edge into the flower with subsequent separation approx. 3in. in length; triangular loss to bottom left corner approx. 1 ¼ in. by ½ in.; horizontal tear running from the lower left side edge into the center approx. 1 ¼ in. in length
The seventh with triangular loss to the top left corner approx. 4 ½ in. by ½ in.; small loss to bottom right corner and small oval loss to lower right quadrant
The eight with a replaced rectangular section approx. 2 ½ in. by ¾ in. to the lower right corner; a replaced rectangular section to lower left corner approx. 2 ½ in. by ¾ in.; faint vertical creases to the bottom edge; thin vertical tear approx. 1 ½ in. to the center bottom edge
The ninth with a crease approx. 2 ½ in. in length with subsequent minor losses to the center of the top edge; small loss to the right side edge; minor small loss to the lower right quadrants
The tenth with small tears to the left side of the top edge; small loss above the right wing of the butterfly; horizontal tear to the right side edge with slight separation; circular loss above the lower right corner
The eleventh with possible loss to the top left corner; the top edge with vertical faint; creases with traces of smudging; the bottom edge with four vertical small tears approx. ½ in. in length; short vertical scratches to the lower half
The twelvth with a long horizontal tear to the lower edge approx. 6 ½ in. by 1/8 in. and with two vertical creases to the left side
Overall with minor discoloration to the backgrounds, the colors very vibrate and in good condition; the frames in good condition with minor flacking and losses to the gilding and with minor scratches and wear to the ebonized surface with some scratches.
