Description
- height 32 3/4 in.; width 6 ft. 9 1/2 in.; depth 33 in.
the D-shaped cross-banded top inlaid with husk swags above a conforming fluted frieze with lambs-tongue molded edge raised on stiff-leaf-carved circular tapering fluted legs headed by flower heads and joined together by a husk-swag apron.

Condition
The solid mahogany top with later inlaid cross-banding and later inlaid husk swags; warpage and rippling to the top with three large locks to the underside to correct the warpage and with an old age crack to the front now with a fillet to the top side and a butterfly patch to the underside; the frieze with later locks to the legs; the underside of the frieze with infilled regular holes where previous swags or garlands were attached; the present swags are probably later additions; legs probably replaced; additions to feet; the back legs each with a metal brace ant join with back rail and with triangular metal bracket; top loose from base; central front right leg with chips to gesso and gilding at join with frieze and slightly loose; small chips and losses to the gilding throughout, especially to legs and feet and with old marks and scratches.
