Description

  • each marked with designer's mark, Wiener Werkstatte stamp, 900 and Austrian control marks; milk jug, tray and tongs also marked Made in Austria; tray also stamped with Wiener Werkstatte monogram
  • height of coffee pot 12 3/4 in., length of tray 17in.
  • 32.4cm, 43cm
comprising: Coffee Pot, Hot Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl, of spirally fluted pear form, ivory c-scroll handles, ivory finials formed as double leaves, narrow beaded borders, the oval tray with raised fluted rim.  Together with a pair of fluted sugar tongs en suite

Catalogue Note

This set was designed in 1923, before Peche's death that year on April 16th. 

A version of this set from a private collection, with a two-handled sugar bowl and matching creamer but no hot milk jug, was included in the 2006 exhibition at the Center for Fine Arts, Brussels.
