Description

  • marked on bases with "jungin" mark, tray apparently unmarked
  • length of tray over handles 22in., height of kettle on lampstand 12 1/8 in.
  • 55.9cm, 30.7cm
comprising: Teapot, Kettle on Lampstand, Caddy, Creamer, covered Sugar Bowl, Waste Bowl and Tray, the hammered surfaces embossed and chased in high relief with irises rising from placid waters, teapot, kettle and sugar bowl with modeled blossom finials, the rectangular wood tray with conforming silver mounts at corners and hammered silver loop handles, the center inlaid with an oval of running irises centered by an applied silver plaque engraved with initials CBH.  Together with a similar Tea Strainer and Sugar Tongs

tray: wood at one end splitting, many handle pins missing, tea set: small ding near base of caddy but not through, otherwise good condition
