Condition

This work has no visible defects but could benefit from a light clean. There is a small area of retouching to the central red area approximately 1.2cm in length - confirmed by UV inspection.

Catalogue Note

It is believed this picture was painted in 1956, when Roy de Maistre had a studio for a few months in Paris at the Hotel Beaujolais overlooking the Palais Royal.  This work is accompanied by a postcard of this view which once belonged to the artist.
