Condition
This work is in sound, stable condition. It is on a new stretcher. There is a horizontal stretcher bar crease (from the original stretcher) across the centre of the canvas. There has also been a small repair and overpainting lower right (to the right of the central figure's forward shoe), indicated by a canvas patch on the reverse.
The work has regular fine shrinkage craquelure throughout which does not however detract from the overall appearance.
