Description

  • height 15 1/2 in.
  • 39.4 cm
each rising from a rounded foot to an everted rim, painted in rich cobalt-blue with three vertical vignettes featuring various flowers borne on tall stems with rockwork, birds and insects fluttering above, against coin-diaper grounds, all between ruyi-head panels enclosing foliate scrolls.

Condition

Both are in good overall condition with very minor fritting on the rims. One has light surface scratches to the interior, near the mid-section; and a 1 cm firing flaw on the base. The other with a series of small firing flaws on the base, the largest 1.2 cm. Both with minor iron spots and pinpricks to the interior.
