- sheet 632 by 963 mm 24 7/8 by 37 15/16 in
Hand-colored engraving with etching and aquatint, by R. Havell, 1834, on wove paper with the watermark J. Whatman 1833, with wide margins, in good condition apart from a few pale scattered fox marks, the sheet edges with tiny pin holes and pale mat stain, framed
Condition
The print is in good condition as catalogued and the colors are strong. There are a few very pale fox marks visible in the unprinted area of background and in the margins, as well as a few on the verso only occasionally showing through to the recto. The outer margins are slightly discolored due to exposure to an acidic mat and there is occasional surface soiling. Tiny pin holes appear along each sheet edge and there are very shallow losses at the lower sheet corners at left and right.
