Hand-colored etching, engraving and aquatint, by R. Havell, on paper with watermark J. Whatman 183.., with margins, stitchholes along the disbound edge at left, in good condition apart from a few foxmarks in the background of the image, the sheet edges with dicoloration and small tears, framed
Condition
The image is in good condition overall the colors are nice. There are scattered foxmarks on the verso, three showing through in the sky below the subject. Mat and time staining is visible in the outer margins. There are six small tears at the sheet edges, some repaired, and 7 of the stitch holes at left have broken through. There are remains of tape on the upper and lower sheet edge on the reverse.
