Description

  • height of vases 17 in.
  • 43 cm
each molded on the shield-shaped body with an oval reserve painted with a sepia landscape within borders and garlands of colorful berries and flowers, between gilt flowering root handles, all above a marbleized base, the covers with seated figure knops, now mounted as lamps. Minor restoration.

Condition

One of the figural knops has been reaffixed to the square base, and the square base has been restored on the corners. One cover has restoration to the rim edge about half the way around. The restoration is fairly well done. The covers are glued to the vases. There is a small chip to one vase handle.
