Description

  • diameter 9 in.

each well painted in the center in a full famille-rose palette with 'Rebekah at the Well', within an iron-red and gilt shell and scroll border. Both with restoration to the rims and with some stacking wear to the enamels.

Condition

Both have patches of white stacking wear to the enamels inside the cavetto. Both have restoration around the rim edges - it is well done but the spray is scratched away in places under the rim. The restoration appears to cover small rim chips on both plates, but it is impossible to tell the extent of the original chips.
