Two Chinese Export famille-rose chargers 18th century

  • diameters 15 3/8 and 13 3/4 in.
  • 39.1 and 34.8 cm
one painted in the center with a Meissen-style landscape panel; the other with an oriental lady being pushed in a wheeled chair surrounded by attendants. Hair crack and minor rim chips and restored rim chips.

Condition

The Meissen style plate has a star-shaped hair crack running in from the rim approx 2 inches and 1 1/2 inches. There is some rubbing to the decoration in the center. The other plate has several 3/8 inch or less chips to the underside edge of the rim. There are also five restored chips to the front of the rim at the top edge between 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock.
