Condition

Very good overall condition. The shade with approximately 20 cracks to the glass scattered throughout. As frequently seen, the top shade ring of this lamp was previously separating from the shade, and five of the lime-green top border tiles directly below the ring appeared to be replaced. In an effort to stabilize and properly conserve the lamp, the shade ring was recently stabilized by a professional Tiffany conservator, and the five border tiles were replaced with well-matching period Tiffany glass. A few of the tiles with multiple cracks were also stabilized. The base retains a rich chocolate brown patina with only light rubbing to the areas of high relief as expected with age and gentle use. The arms on the base that support the shade are slightly askew and would benefit from a minor adjustment. The sockets and switches all appear to be original. A particularly attractive example of this tulip model displaying a vibrant and artistic color palette with a great sense of depth.
