Overall in excellent original condition, displaying an exceptionally rich "Warty" patina displaying layered tonalities of red, coral and brown. The top shoulder with one or two small and very shallow surface indentations, which are largely undetectable due to the textured "Warty" surface. The surfaces throughout with some occasional light surface scratches and some minor traces of surface soiling. As expected, the interior with wear, heavier soiling and discoloration consistent with age and use. A beautiful example of this form displaying exceptionally well-articulated "wrinkling" to the hand-wrought copper surfaces above the base.

This delicately textured "warty" vase is notable for its rich multi-colored surface patina layered in shades of red, coral and brown. Synonymous with Van Erp's most accomplished "warty" pieces, the textured surface along the bottom register is masterfully "wrinkled" like fabric.
