Condition
Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces appear to retain their original finish, displaying rich color. The wood surfaces throughout with surface scratches, abrasions, and edge wear with associated losses consistent with age and use. There are several vertical stress fractures (all tight and stable) to the posts which are inherent from the natural expansion and contraction of the wood over time. The top edge of the front stretcher (proper right side) with a few very light and transparent surface stains. The divan retains its original seat foundation, and the original cloth covering has darkened over time and shows some occasional staining consistent with age. The divan is being sold with its original set of dark olive-green leather cushions (one seat and two pillows), as well as a set of modern replacement cushions in light brown leather (one seat and two pillows). The original set of cushions are in remarkably good condition, with some minor tears and losses mainly to the corners, one small circular patch (1 inch diameter) to one of the pillows, and with some occasional staining and scattered white paint marks. The replacement cushions show light surface scratches throughout, and some occasional minor staining consistent with use.
