Condition

Overall very good original condition. The marble top and lower panels with some slight surface scratches as expected with use. The scratches to the top of the table are shallow, yet some extend the majority of the width of the table. The marble top with two minor edge chips, each less than a ¼ inch (one to the immediate corner and the other to the middle portion of the adjacent side). Both losses are old and therefore no longer rough to the touch. The base marble elements with a couple on minute edge chips. The gilt portion of the base with rubbing the gilt finish as seen in the catalogue illustration. Some of the losses and rubbing reveal a red undercoat or the natural metal color. The gilt has acquired an attractive patina and the red showing through is a chic addition to the surface.
