Galerie du Passage, Paris

Literature

Patrick Mauriès, Fornasetti:  Designer of Dreams, London, 1991, p. 264 (for a table designed by Gio Ponti and decorated by Fornasetti with a similar decorative scheme)

Condition

Overall very good original condition. The painted metal standard of the table with some minor surface scratches as expected with age and use. The top of the table with minor chips, losses and scratches revealing the white undercoat to the edges. One along the bottom edge extends approximately eight inches in length. The condition issues to the top are concentrated to the edges and the lower edge for the most part. These are not as apparent when the table is righted. Minor areas of amateur restoration to the losses, which are a different blue in tone.
