Description

  • 100cm. high
the baluster-shaped stem surmounted by seated male figure on an eagle, issuing eight scrolling arms terminating in urn-shaped nozzles and circular drip-pans, the lower sphere with Hebrew inscription: This menorah is given in fulfilment of a vow by the charitable Ben Shimon, of blessed memory, 6 Nissan 1798

Formerly with the collection of P. van Zuylen, mayor of Grand-Haleux, Belgium.

Condition

In overall good condition with some dents, marks and scratches due to age and use, eight ornaments of lower section lacking.
