Description

Centring on a carved emerald cameo depicting the profile of Zeus wearing a laurel wreath, within borders of circular- and rose-cut diamonds, later pin fitting, later fitted shagreen case.

Condition

Mounted in silver and gold. Brooch weighing approximately 39.7 grams. Emerald with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, cracked from side to side, very fine carving, measuring approximately 31mm x 31mm x 17mm (depth very approximate to highest point). Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.50 carats, bright, lively stones.
