Description
- 137cm. high, 80cm. wide; 4ft. 6in., 2ft. 7½in.
with marginal mirror plates
Condition
A very decorative mirror. The glass appears to have some age but is probably a 19th century replacement as there is spotting and wear not apparent in the catalogue image. There are also small wrought metal holding brackets to each corner of the margin plates - these are not visible in the photograph. There is traces of worm. There are some chips to carved detail notably to the bottom right proper. There are some old tacks securing sections of moulding. A pretty mirror with attractive pale gilding.
