Description
- 49cm. high; 1ft. 7¼in.
3-inch enamel dial, bell striking movement with outside counte wheel and cylinder platform escapement, impressed interlacing double LL monogram and 2 and incised mark, the case of pylon form with a gilt-bronze gadrooned cover, the rectangular top above a stylised greek-key friezeabove a charioteer and dancing maidens, with rams masks at the angles suspending ribbon fruiting and foliate swags, the sides with a crescent moon, stars and a lyre above an owl flanked by oil lamps, the other side with a cockerel, the reverse with a berried laurel wreath, on gryphon feet and a rectangular base with canted corners

Condition
Dial in good condition. Movement is complete but much in need of a clean. Case in generally very good condition with a little rubbing to the gilding at the corners. No winder.
