Description
each with slender crestrail continuing to form scrolled handgrips, with a S-curved splat carved with a reticulated ruyi-head above vases with prunus and lingzhi, the hard cane seat with beaded flange brackets and apron, with a box stretcher (2)
Condition
One chair altered to conform to the Kangxi period chair. Both with substantial alterations and repairs, including 2 inch tips to feet, replaced flange brackets, front foot rails, and front foot rests. Both with loose joinery and require substantial restoration. Tielimu replacements on sides. The chair not of Kangxi period with fill on both sides of the splat to fit into the seat.
