Description

the figure dressed in loose-fitting robes and high cowl, the reverse of which is incised with lotus on a wave ground, seated in Royal Ease and holding a scroll in her left hand,16cm, 6 3/8in; together with a mottled-grey and red-flecked soapstone figure of a Luohan with a lion cub, 18th/19th Century

Condition

With the exception of minor nibbling around the base, the edges of the veil and robe, and overall scratches, including a 1cm line to the left of the figure of Guanyin; and chips to the right earring, right of the forehead, to the underside of the base, wear of painted details to the face; and scratches to both, these figures are in good condition.
