Description

the straight blade of steel fitted with a white jade handle, the silver and champleve enamel scabbard of tapered form, the ends bound in a chased gilt band of scrolling leaves and floret inset with turquoise cabochons, the top further set with a rectangular handle suspending a loose ring for attachment and set with an ivory collar

Condition

With the exception of a slight wear to the enamel, concentrated to the ends and edges of the scabbard, the loss of two turquoise cabochons, minor areas of oxidisation and overall scratches to the blade, the present knife is in very good condition.
