Description

finely carved and pierced, the two large ripe fruit borne on a gnarled leafy stalk and divided by a peony bloom, a large cricket crouches at the base, the stone of pinkish-celadon tone

Acquired in Paris, 1959.

Condition

With the exception of polishing to the tip of the large petal on the top reverse, minor chips to the extremities of the carving, ivory and charcoal natural inclusions to the front, and very light surface scratching, the present piece is in very good condition.
