stoneware, on an ebonised wooden base

Condition

In good overall condition. The colour is less brown and with better contrast than suggested by catalogue illustration. Minor firing cracks visible to the interior of the base. Some firing cracks to the feet and one to the round base where the tail touches the base. One tiny nick to the rim of the jar. A minor glaze loss to the rim. The front picked out in brown with lustrous quality to the glaze.
