Condition
A decorative cabinet of good overall appearance. The piece has possbly been repolished and is of a deep reddish brown tone, slightly more red than the catalogue illlustration suggests. Very slightly loose joints so the piece is very slightly unsteady but consistent with construction. Open shelves to middle and lower parts are backed by bevelled mirror plates. Old marks and scratches overall, consistent with age and use. Veneered plywood slightly marked and blemished in places, such as to the lower and uppermost shelf. Upper glass doors in working order and with minor knocks and signs of use. One screw missing to escutcheon mount to doors and another to upper drawer handle. With one key. A few traces of old woodworm to rear of right support. Piece in honest condition and a good example of its type with no obvious signs of restoration. A practical piece ready for display and use.
