Condition

The painting is slightly warmer than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas has an old relining and is offered in an old polychrome frame in black and gold dummy marble. To the naked eye the painting appears in good condition and without any major restorations. Uv inspection confirms the good condition, showing only marginal scattered retouchings, especially in the sky and in the part of the architecture facing the sun. It is our opinion that these interventions are usual in paintings of that age, and do not affect the good condition of the work.
